The Star MkV timer board allows separate setting of the weld and cool cycles on the machine. It has a built in compensation device to reduce the weld cycle if the machine is being cycled quickly for more consistent seals.

The Star ARTICS PLC controller can produce identical seal quality every time the machine is used. It does this by controlling the element ribbon temperature as well as seal time. It also comes with a built in batch counter and preheat setting to reduce seal time to a minimum.

The SH 1000 Hot Air Sealer uses the principle of heat transfer by convection. It uses ambient air which is transmitted to specially designed heating capsules where it is then passed over a heating cartridge which heats the air close to the bag mouth. This hot air is then blown onto the bag to promote the sealing process.

The SH 1000 Hot Air Sealer represents the most advanced bag sealing technology available today. It features the latest in PID temperature-control, innovative direct drive, enhanced airflow design guaranteeing a high efficiency heat transfer system that seals thicker bags of polyethylene, coated, laminated or even complex bags with a polyethylene inner liner.

Vortex cooling: compressed air is cooled in a vortex tube and then supplied to nozzles that direct it to both sides of the seal as the bag passes through. This cools the sealed area to both set the seal and reduce the temperature for the bag to be handled safely.
